Dear Blog,
Lately I have been getting really tired toward the end of the week and have felt a complete loss of momentum in the kitchen simply because all I want to do is sit down and relax after a exhausting day at work. For a while I was really torn about the thought of surrendering cooking duty in favor of dining out but this week I gave in and let Beau Thai’s take-out take care of me.
I ordered the “Kaeng Gai” (red curry) with tofu and substituted brown rice. It is quite a different experience eating out in your own home. I had every intention to setup my plate properly but when the food arrived I ravenously dumped the rice and curry on my plate, splattering curry all over the table, and dug in. The red curry was medium spicy, the rice perfectly moist, and the tofu firm and crispy. As I was enjoying my food I was side swiped by euphoria as I realized that kitchen clean-up was not necessary.
